Information We Process

Messages and Text Input

Chatform processes your text messages to provide AI-powered responses and text generation via our backend service and third-party AI providers (such as OpenAI).

• Messages are sent to our server and forwarded to AI providers to generate responses
• We do not permanently store your message content on our servers
• Your content is not used to train AI models or shared with third parties for advertising

Voice Input

When you use voice typing, audio is processed to produce text transcriptions.

• Audio recordings are processed transiently and not stored after transcription
• Transcribed text is handled the same as typed messages

Subscription and Payment Data

Chatform uses Apple's in-app purchase system for subscriptions. We do not collect or store your payment information directly. Apple handles all billing.

Analytics and Usage Data

We collect limited analytics to understand how Chatform is used and to improve the app. This may include:

• App usage metrics (e.g. feature usage, session duration)
• Performance data (e.g. latency, error rates)
• Basic device information (e.g. iOS version, device model)

This data:

• Does not include your message content
• Is aggregated or anonymized where possible
• Is never sold or shared for advertising

Third-Party Services

Chatform relies on third-party services to provide its functionality:

• OpenAI — to generate AI-powered responses. Messages are sent through our server and forwarded to OpenAI's API. OpenAI's data usage policies apply to content processed by their services.
• Firebase — for analytics, crash reporting, and app configuration
• Amplitude — for product analytics

These services are used only to deliver the app's functionality. Each third-party service operates under its own privacy policy and terms. We are not responsible for the data practices of third-party providers.

Keyboard Extension

Chatform includes a custom keyboard extension that requires "Full Access" to communicate with our servers. The keyboard:

• Only sends text you explicitly submit for AI processing
• Does not log keystrokes or monitor your typing in other apps
• Does not collect passwords, credit card numbers, or other sensitive input

Data Retention

• Message content is not retained after processing
• Analytics data may be retained for a limited time for operational and diagnostic purposes

Security

We take reasonable measures to protect information during processing, including signed API requests, secure transmission (HTTPS), and access controls. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of your data.

Your Choices

You can stop using Chatform at any time. You can manage or cancel your subscription through the App Store. If you have questions about data handling or would like us to delete associated analytics data, contact us at: hello@chatformapp.com
